Getting to Grips with Fence Hire
Fence Hire: It’s a bit of a minefield with so many differnet varieties, it can be hard to pick the right one for your particular job. Let’s take an example – organising the entrance to a heavily attended concert. First of all you have to measure the area, and work out how long you need the fencing to go on for. Then you need to find out how long each fence hire unit is – so for crowd barriers, it will be 2.5 metres long. You can then find out how many units you need for that particular job. As well as just the basic untis, you need to ask when booking if your order comes with clips and footings. When receiving quotations, you will be priced per unit and also you wil be charged a haulage cost, which is a transport cost to get the equipment over to your site. Haulage prices can vary depending on the distance from your site to the depot. Other uses for fencing include reconstruction work – hoarding is used a lot on renovations for supermarkets for example. Anti-vandal fencing, which is also known as anticlimb fencing or Heras fencing, is usually used on construction sites – it is perfect because of the tight mesh of the fencing, it is almost impossible to climb especially as it is 3 metres tall! Just remember, don’t be confused by fence hire, follow the simple rules above and the job should run smoothly as long as you get good advice from your fence hire supply company.
